About my writing:
I write contemporary fiction, science fiction, fantasy and horror. I also dabble in westerns, noir and other genres, too. Some of my work has been published and is for sale. My fiction is often funny, but that's only because the most dangerous things in the world are the ones that look the most harmless. I write poems, advice columns on writing and the writing life, and lot of flash fiction, the kind that encapsulates a single scene. My writing deals with people and their emotions – hopes, fears, regrets, confusions, joys – the whole range of what makes life vibrant

My most recent work is "Verbosity's Vengeance: A Grammarian Adventure Novel", a superhero science fiction book. It's the story of the Grammarian, Lexicon City's smartest hero, who will use his punctuation powers to save the city from the nefarious Professor Verbosity... just as soon as he can hire a reliable assistant. Add a goofy superhero wanna-be, a mysterious stranger, and a beautiful, brainy college professor, and the Grammarian has his work cut out for him.

"Verbosity's Vengeance: A Grammarian Adventure Novel" is a complete action-adventure novel of 112,000 words, currently being shopped around to agents and publishers. This is the third novel for me, and the best by far. I'm not quite sure yet what my next book will look like, but I'll know it when I see it.

About me, personally:
I'm a middle child, born in St. Louis, MO back when the world was young and innocent. Although I'm a bit of a smart ass, I'm getting better about it. I lived in Chicago and mid-Michigan before moving to the Philadelphia suburbs in 1999. I'm married, with two sons, two daughters, and one dog. I sing, I own a lot of power tools and several firearms. I measure my books by the linear foot.
