And as a reader from the beginning, I didn't think there was too much expo going on. They're just negotiating, and you set up what's to follow quite nicely, imho.

Well done, Tony.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7797188666559531190.post-72369446235878218302010-05-07T12:39:17.730-04:002010-05-07T12:39:17.730-04:00Continues to be awesome. There is a lot of back-story in this, and it's hard for me to not infodump it all in one breathless rush.

Lonnigan is an interesting person, and she plays a dangerous game. I've always loved characters who can make do with minimal tools; it's a lot of fun to be writing one.Tony Nolandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15090583562737225942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7797188666559531190.post-32478041875042040402010-05-04T23:18:38.282-04:002010-05-04T23:18:38.282-04:00What can I say that hasn't already been said. ...What can I say that hasn't already been said. I totally thought Tong had gotten her so it was a surprise to see it was Kim. I like how gently the layers of back-story are peeling back. Sometimes I have to reread the bits that have a lot of new tech mentioned in them, but it's definitely not so difficult that I don't want to read more. I still don't understand exactly what it is that Lonnigan can do- but I like that she's intelligent and cunning versus someone who's super-all-powerful. I want to see her succeed. :)Joanie Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09923353641823849082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7797188666559531190.post-52666149975703443282010-05-04T17:10:51.965-04:002010-05-04T17:10:51.965-04:00D. I can't keep the pedal pushed to the floor all the time, or when the REALLY exciting stuff comes along, it won't have any impact!Tony Nolandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15090583562737225942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7797188666559531190.post-14976009487614681622010-05-04T16:44:13.599-04:002010-05-04T16:44:13.599-04:00Love the continuation and the themes of power. The contrast between those who understand what they have, and those who do not.

This part slowed the overall tempo down a bit but, frankly, I'm not sure what else you could've done. Perhaps instead of continuing her interrogation there could've been something with the Mouse or Simon that was more action driven?

Just a thought :-)

Finally, there was this typo: "It won't matter if I you've eaten first."D.
